ITALIAN AMERICAN
CULTURAL SOCIETY AND
VILLA BELLA SAVE THE SENIOR SWING SOCIETY OF MACOMB COUNTY
DANCES
On Wednesday, June 18th, Mr. James Perna
announced that the Senior Swing Dances - held at the Ralph
Liberato Hall at Freedom Hill for the last 22 years - were being
cancelled because of the revised conditions that were imposed by
the County Commissioners. However, Mr. Perna was pleased to
announce that the dances will move to the Italian American
Cultural Society on Romeo Plank Rd in Clinton Twp, starting
Wednesday, July 16th and every third and last Wednesday of the
month for the fore seeable future. Sharing that announcement
was Mr. Bill Morelli, Executive Director for the Italian
American Cultural Society.
The I.A.C.S. will kick off the first dance
with a complimentary Pasta Buffet Dinner for the members of the
Senior Swing Society for one hour prior to the start of the
dancing. The Tom Jones Band, with its big band sound, will
continue to provide the Swing Era Sounds for this event.
Mrs.
Angie Morelli, Marketing Director for Villa Bella, Macomb
County’s Premier Retirement Community, announced that they will
be sponsoring the July 16th dance and several more throughout
the year to help continue this Senior event.
Mr. Morelli also said “our seniors are the
greatest asset we have and we need to keep them dancing. With
that in mind, the I.A.C.S. cleared its calendar for the balance
of 2008 to make sure you have a place to go dancing. “

Business and
industrial Wi-Fi is widespread as of 2007 and now Wi-fi
Technology has come to the IACS
For those out
there that do not know what WI-FI is - this means that A Wi-Fi
enabled device such as a PC, cell phone, MP3 player or PDA can
connect to the internet when within range of a wireless network
connected to the Internet. The area covered by one or more
interconnected access points is called a hotspot. Hotspots can
cover as little as a single room or as much as many square
miles covered by overlapping access points. Note:
Wi-Fi is available in the entire IACS facility.
